Meetings for engaged couples on the way to Christian marriage
Unlike civil marriage, Christian marriage is considered a sacrament by the Catholic Church.
To ask for the "sacrament of marriage" is to ask to become disciples of Jesus as husband and wife.

The preparation course
Every year the Parish of Saints Joseph and Anthony in Arma di Taggia offers around ten meetings covering a wide range of themes, so that couples can reflect without hurry on such an important step.
The meetings usually take place in winter, from late January to March, one evening a week. They are led by Don Alessio together with some married couples who share their experience with the engaged couples.
Registration for the course is online, after you have spoken with the priest of the parish where you live.
If you want to get married in church
- At least a year before the wedding, go and speak with the priest of the parish where you live: he will guide you and take care of the necessary paperwork.
- Once you have talked with him and agreed that this is the right time to begin your preparation, register online straight away.

The Rite of Marriage
The Rite of Marriage lets you choose between different formulas and readings. You can talk it over with the priest accompanying you on this journey or with whoever will celebrate your wedding.
Choose what best expresses your sacrament and your desire to become disciples of Jesus. Start reading the rite and making your choices at least a couple of months before the wedding.
